Pokemon Forest Toy Playset

Not too long ago, I did a number of Pokemon mini playset designs for Jakks Pacific. These mini sets are currently out on the shelves in toy stores. Here is the concept art I created for the Forest Playset.

In total, I did four sets. Since time was tight, a friend of mine named Mike Kelleher helped me with the color.

As with most mini playsets, the features have to be simple & non-electronic. To save on costs I also designed a common exterior housing that would be painted differently for each set (Pokeball, Heal Ball, Ultra Ball etc.) The hardest part of this project for me was the fact that I was not too familiar with Pokemon. I had never watched the show and did not know much about it. Fortunately, some time on YouTube and discussions with my nephews got me up to speed
